The Mailman from Arles
The Mailman from Arles is a play by Ernst Bruun Olsen. The original title in Danish is Postbudet fra Arles. It has been translated into the Norwegian as Postmannen fra Arles.
The Mailman from Arles is based on the last months of the painter Vincent van Gogh's life. The title refers to his loyal friend, the postal officer Joseph Roulin in Arles. Roulin is the subject of several of van Gogh's paintings.
