The Lady of the Camellias AKA Camille
The Lady of the Camellias AKA Camille is a novel by Alexandre Dumas the younger. He adapted it for the stage himself shortly after publishing the novel. The original title in French (of novel and play both) is La Dame aux Camélias. Both the play and the novel have been translated into the Norwegian as Kameliadamen.
The Lady of the Camellias also has inspired a large number of other theatre versions (several of which are titled Camille) plus the opera La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi (music) and Francesco Maria Piave (libretto).
