Lars Petter Hagen
Lars Petter Hagen is a composer. Hagen’s list of works includes instrumental music, electro-acoustic works plus music for film and theatre. He has had his works performed by ensembles such as Cikada, Oslo Sinfonietta, Poing, SISU, NING, KammarensembleN and the Dutch company Insomnio. He has been represented at Berliner Festspiele, the Melbourne Art Biennale, Festspiele Mecklenburg Vorpommern in Germany, Oslo Chamber Music Festival, GAS in Gothenburg, Ultima and Music Factory in Bergen.

Lars Petter Hagen has made his mark with sound installations in the Astrup Fearnley Museum, at the Central Station in Oslo during the Music under Oslo Festival, at Edvard Munch Haus in Warnemünde, at the University of Frankfurt and at Rostrum, among other places.
He has made music on commission from Music Factory, Concerts Norway, Nordic Voices, Ultima, Norwegian Chamber Orchestra and Donaueschinger Musiktage. Besides composing he is active as a lecturer, writer, musician and conductor. In 1996 he initiated the contemporary music magazine Parergon, which he edited until 2000.
Lars Petter Hagen completed the candidate study in composition at Norwegian Academy of Music under the teachers Rolf Wallin and Asbjørn Schaathun. He has also participated in master classes with Brian Ferneyhough, Salvatore Sciarrino, Gerald Bennett and Jonathan Harvey among others.
Lars Petter Hagen was artistic leader for the association Ny Musikk 2003-2004.
