Rolf-Erik Nystrøm
Rolf-Erik Nystrøm is a Norwegian saxophonist and contemporary music composer. He was educated at Norwegian Academy of Music, where he noe lectures within improvisational-based contemporary music.

Rolf-Erik Nystrøm has been a soloist with all the major Norwegian symphony orchestras, and with Basel Symphony Orchestra and Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra. He has been active in bands such as Poing, Dozo, Hero and Zanussi five, and has contributed to about 50 records within different musical genres.
In 2006 he released his first solo record, Concepts of Sorrow & Dangers at the label Aurora. The record was nominated to the Norwegian music award Spellemannprisen 2006 in the contemporary music category. As a composer, he has written music for the stage, TV documentaries and chamber concerts.
Johan Haugen and Rolf-Erik Nystrøm were nominated for The Hedda Award 2019 in the best audiovisual design category for lighting design and music for The Birds, Nordland Theatre.
