More about Ola G. Furuseth

The Hedda Jury gave the following reason for the award to the Edda ensemble:

"Certain assignments demand a more dedicated approach than others. Intense concentration. Detail-oriented precision. Finely tuned musicality. This year's award in the special artistic achievement category goes to an ensemble of actors who met and who mastered such an assignment with force and conviction. Some of them had experience with the same director and the same expression from former work. Some entered the work with openness and a will to learn. Together they succeeded in creating one of this year's most grandiose and most coherently stylistic performing arts experiences."

Ola G. Furuseth took part in the musical version of Falkberget's An-Magritt and played Cliff Bradshaw in Cabaret.

Since then his roles at Trøndelag Theatre include the Man in Jo Strømgren's En gorilla søker hjem* (A Gorilla Seeks Home), George Tesman in Hedda Gabler and Hjalmar Ekdal in The Wild Duck. He played Ola in Jo Strømgren's The Pseudonym during the spring season of 2010.

Ola G. Furuseth was nominated for The Hedda Award 2010 in the best supporting actor category for the role of the Guard in Antigone by Sophocles, directed by Victoria Meirik, Trøndelag Theatre. He also was nominated for The Hedda Award 2007 in the best leading actor category for the role of Elling in Elling i nærkontakt* (Elling in close contact) by Ingvar Ambjørnsen at Teatret Vårt (Our Theatre).

Furuseth was nominated for The Hedda Award 2019 in the best leading actor category for the role of Adam in The Broken Jar, The Norwegian Theatre.
