Det Historiske Slaget om Bakgaarden* (The Historic Battle of the Backyard) (2020) was an outdoors theatre production by Feil Teater. The production was based on a text by Vilde Johannessen, Julia Küster, Patrik Stenseth, Amanda Hedvig Strand, Jonas Sandvik and Sebastian Myers, to music by Amalie Sofie Ibsen Jensen, Patrick Hilmar Ingvaldsen and Lars Andreassen. It had its world premiere during the Corona crisis the spring of 2020. The production was played on order in backyards in Oslo, and the spectators saw it from windows and balconies.
Vilde Johannessen directed it.

"Det Historiske Slaget om Bakgaarden is an interactive performance for the whole family, which will take place exactly where you live!
Minion Ballè Fransè and lackey Burrito arrives the backyard and announce that there is a new king in town - King Durian the grim. If you hail him as your new king, he will upgrade your backyard with anything you may want. He has already visited the neighbourhood, installing pools and trampolines. It turns out that the king has a hidden, evil plan. He really wants to throw everyone out of their apartments and build an enormous palace for himself.
Luckily, Frigg shows up, a girl on a bicycle, challenging the evil king to a duel. If she wins, the king must leave the building in peace, and never return. If the king wins, everything will be as he wanted.
Det Historiske Slaget om Bakgaarden is filled with humour, interactivity, extravagant costumes and colourful characters. The visited buildings take part in solving the situation. Who wins, remains to be seen. But we ought to hope that the king's evil plan will not be realised..."
