At the webpage of Ferske Scener the following, among other things, is written about Blood Club #1:
"In this project, four artists with different connections to the Norwegian, the Finnish and the Sami stomp into the minefield of culture and genetics.
[...]
What and who
The title refers to shared genetics, and to food made with blood, called Gumbá. Gumbá is party food, served at the day of the Sami in many Southern Troms communities.
The founder of the Blood Club are the writer and well-known Sami Sigbjørn Skåden, the Finnish-Norwegian performance artist Kristina Junttila, actor and Norwegianised Sami Bernt Bjørn and dramaturge and rivgu (Sami for Norwegian woman) Kristin Bjørn.
Open meeting
The meeting with the audience during Scenetekstivalen is the first time the Blood Club has an open meeting. There will be newly written texts, old music, exercises with the audience, serving of food made with blood, competitions and not least: The opening of the four founders' genetic tests. Does the public identity match the test results? And what does a genetic test actually show?"
