At the webpage of Ferske Scener the following, among other things, is written about Ordinary twilight:

"The starting point is a series of short texts, small monologues thought up by the main character Emil. Emil is from the first generation of a new family: The sons of the fathers from Northern Troms, the sons who grew up in the city and grew to like the useless, the dreaming and the beautiful, to the disappointment and confusion of their fathers.

Ordinary twilight is the lightest time of day during the season of darkness. The strange thing is that the hour of twilight is so ordinary, a discovery the storyteller Emil makes when returning to Tromsø after many years in Oslo."
