Tales From A Wicked Child by Kate Pendry: English Kate Pendry has lived in Norway since 1995, working within different media. She has made her mark with confrontational performance art within which the personal and political go hand in hand. Kate Pendry also is an experienced actress who is able to visualise the stories she tells with sarcasm and a generous helping of black humour. In the installation performance Tales From A Wicked Child she examines attitudes related to childhood.

In Tales From A Wicked Child Kate Pendry asks: "Three of these children were killed. Five of these children killed other children. Two of them grew up to be famous 'a' celebrities ...and two of them grew up to be normal... just like you and me. Can you tell which is which?"
Photographies of famous and non-famous people as children, "The hall of fame and shame", force the spectator to reflect over his/her prejudices and thoughts about the generally accepted innocence of children. If society claims its heroes and icons, it also has to recognise its monsters. The audience is invited to a dark guessing game in which portraits of 50 children are examined. We see if we can guess who grew up to be good, who grew up to be evil and who did not grow up at all. Among the people are George W. Bush, Anne Frank, Teena Brandon; Lady Diana and Charles Manson.
