Martefaen* (Fucking Marte)

Martefaen (literally: Fucking Marte) (2007) was a theatre documentary by De Utvalgte.

Kari Holtan directed it.

One of ten youths between 16 and 24 years of age deliberately harm themselves once or several times. Why? And who are they? These were issues explored in the performance. Onstage the audience met Pelle and Marte in conversation. Marte has deliberately harmed herself for eight years. Through her own texts, images and music she told the story of a youth characterised by strong physical pain.
