Global Anatomy
Global Anatomy (2007) by and with Willy Thomas and Benjamin Verdonck/KVS (Belgium): Global Anatomy was a slapstick performance which in all its simplicity consisted of two men – one thick, one thin – and one door. One of the men never found out which part of the door turned out, the other fled from the door rather than walk through it.

Global Anatomy by Willy Thomas and Benjamin Verdonck can be described as slow slapstick with the security pin pulled out. The stage was filled with all kinds of objects, and though the two actors did their best to create connections in chaos, the mistake and the gaffe were always close. However constructive they handled it, disaster was never far off.
In the program from Black Box Teater one could read the following about the production (translated from Norwegian by Sceneweb’s Lillian Bikset): "Global Anatomy is a fun performance, but in its chaos it also creates a more emotionally laden image of human drive and the will to stay erect."
Willy Thomas is an actor and director and has for many years been artistic director for the company Dito Dito, the latter known in Norway for its collaborations with tg STAN. At the time of production Benjamin Verdonck was artist in residence at Toneelhuis in Antwerp.
