"Why is the thought of quick gratification so hard to resist, when one knows so much better, inside and out?
An increasing amount of us struggle with procrastination syndromes, stress and weak conscience, falling for temptations that torpedo our long-term aims, checking Facebook every other minute. We like Netflix, sugar and melted cheese.
At the same time, we know that those who are able to control themselves, wait for the good, and plan for the future, have more success in their professional lives, are happier in their private lives, and are of better physical and mental health. So why can't we do it? Why does the primitive part of the brain win out?
Impulse control
Operation Self-Discipline is the performance for you who once had a promising future, but now is an internet-dependant, neurotic, lazy and unhappy dork in lack of time. It is a practical and scientifically funded guide how to beat distractions, stop procrastinating, establish good habits for eating and working out, and regain your impulse control. In short: How to become an excellent representative of humanity."
