Søstrene Andrews presenterer: Faen, verden brenner* (Andrew Sisters present: Fuck, the world is burning!) by Kristinnsdottir/Sponnich/Ramvi is founded in the life stories of the real-life Andrew Sisters. The group, also called «the American war time sweethearts», was the best-selling group in the world prior to The Beatles. The trio started as child stars in 1930 and the career really took off when they entertained American soldiers during World War II.
The sister trio consisted of LaVerne, Maxene and Patty, who were driven and supported by their Norwegian-American mother, but also their Greek-American father. The sisters were together in everything and totally dependent of each other in their success. They lived together in the spotlight almost all their lives, with a lot of work and touring. The career went before anything else and early the sisters agreed to a pact that none of them was to marry before securing the career.
Søstrene Andrews presenterer: Faen, verden brenner was the graduation project of Maria Dommersnes Ramvi and Hildur Kristinnsdóttir when graduating from Norwegian Theatre Academy in Fredrikstad (University College of Østfold). Nina Eileen Sponnich is educated from Gitis in Aarhus.
