In Potatoes have no wings, Ferske Scener dealt with the subject of letting go of sorrow and daring to move on.
The action in Potatoes have no wings combines the stories of a desperate potato escaping a mashed potatoes factory and a married couple stuck in the sorrow after the loss of their daughter Lela. When the story starts, she has been dead for exactly six years. Potatoes have no wings is a simple story about how hard it can be to move on. It is a story about being in need of help and about the joy when sorrow finally loses hold. The production was made in collaboration between Ferske Scener and the culture centre Kulturhuset in Tromsø.
Living in mourning, or being afraid, is the same whether you are adult or a child. Sometimes the adults have more of a language to describe their feelings, but not always. Through the theatre experience some keys to discuss the subject in a manner both children and adults can understand are given out.
