"Little Ingrid learns her mother's and her father's work. She must, being the only one to take over the farm. Through Ingrid's upbringing and experiences, we learn, too, and the history of our region and the people inhabiting it lives on.
Roy Jacobsen's depiction of life on a small island surrounded by the open sea at the beginning of the 20th century was received with excellent reviews when it was published in 2013. In many ways, this is our history, and it belongs onstage at The Arctic Theatre."
