La seconde surprise de l'amour was written by Pierre de Marivaux and had its world premiere in December 1727 in Paris. The Norwegian Theatre’s production was the Norwegian premiere of the play. The play was adapted by Jon Fosse and performed on The Norwegian Theatre’s Scene 2.

The director was Jacques Lassalle.
