In a press release from The Norwegian Theatre the following, among other things, is written about Macbeth:

"First is Macbeth starring Preben Hodneland as the title character, opening September 1 at Scene 2. Blood floods through Shakespeare's dark tragedy about the price of power and the nature of anxiety. It is directed by Peer Perez Øian."

At the webpage of The Norwegian Theatre the following, among other things, is written about Macbeth:

"Perhaps the demons we create on our own are what we should fear the most? In her sleep, Lady Macbeth attempts to clean invisible blood from her hands. Macbeth's mind is full of scorpions. Evil is a spiral going downwards and deeper. When one has gotten far enough into it, the thought of turning seems impossible. Their consciences won't rest. They must complete their trajectories.

Macbeth by William Shakespeare was likely performed for the first time in 1606. The Norwegian translation is by Edvard Hoem."
