In The Vocation of a Whore by La Compagnia delle Formiche/Teatro dei Borgia a woman has abandoned her job as a prostitute with the wish to start a life with the man she loves and create a family. At the exact day of the marriage proposal she is being blackmailed by her female superior who forces her to accept another job: to seduce a politician and provoke a scandal.

"By staging Diary of a sentimental killer by Luis Sepulveda, a cycle of productions called Portraits have been initiated. A Portrait is a meeting between a text and an actor capable of creating a personage at the limit of the absurd which incarnate themes and conflicts unresolved in our time. With lightness and elegance The Vocation of a Whore confronts the relation between Faith and Sex, a difficult relationship with strong conflict in the west. Two paradoxes make this Portrait particularly theatrical: the calling in question is the one of a whore; The Vocation of a Whore is incarnated by an angelic Norwegian actress with a calling for dramatic art", says director Gianpiero Borgia.
