At the website of Rogaland Theatre the following, among other things, is written about Spring:
"Now, Spring, the third book of Karl Ove Knausgård's encyclopaedia for his youngest daughter, will be staged at Rogaland Theatre under the direction of Anders T. Andersen. The novel was excellently received, not without reason. It is a beautiful and wise text, in which the wisdom lies in the imperfect and deeply human of the joy of life and in the life crisis that is taking place in Knausgård's entirely ordinary life.
Spring is centred on the humans, more specifically his small, newborn daughter, whom the book is dedicated to. And obviously his other three children, his friends and relatives, and not least his wife. Here, Knausgård returns to the near limitless autobiographical fiction from his novel cycle My Struggle.
Through a day in spring, from sunrise to sunset, we follow the stream of events that make up our lives, and the sky under which our lives play out. Spring is a performance about the beginning of life, about light, but also about darkness."
