In READY STEADY Daniel AlmgrenRecén asks if there really exists a point when one could consider oneself as ready or receptive. And he means really, totally ready! The idea of Daniel AlmgrenRecén is that everything is a preparation for an ending, but that the ending always comes before the preparations are over, before we are ready.

Daniel AlmgrenRecén is a Swedish dancer and choreographer living in Amsterdam. He studied classic theatre, theoretically and practically, and due to expansive backgrounds from sports he eventually became the most interested in the physical side of theatre.

AlmgrenRecén’s works have been performed in Brazil, Germany, Portugal and Sweden. They can be described as moving in the intersection between dance, performance and visual art. Besides his own production, he has taken part in movies and performances by directors such as Ivana Müller, Keren Cytter and Ibrahim Quraishi.
