Randomly seeking Giselle is a theatre production striving for a searching dramaturgy. The performers wander through the story of the ballet Giselle, as well as through Berlin, YouTube and their own teenage dreams attempting to find an answer, or all the answers. The opening took place during the autumn of 2009 in Reality Research Centre in Helsinki. The spring of 2010 the artist collective Und er libet’s artists were visiting artists in residence in Zodiak Centre for New Dance in Helsinki to further develop the work.

The artist collective Und er libet is based in Helsinki and consists of young professional performers within dance, theatre and music. Since 2006 Und er libet has worked with different methods and ideas from post-dramatic theatre and contemporary dance. The artists often experiment with intense landscapes of sound and seducing scenic imagery. In the period 2006-2009 they created a series of performances inspired by Euripides’ tragedy The Baccae. The series has been performed at Kiasma Teatteri of Kiasma – the contemporary art museum in Helsinki.
