Muscle Temple
In Muscle Temple (2010) by Goro Tronsmo four dancers and one director met five days every week for approximately three months. The only direction the dancers were given was that there was no direction. The time frame consisted of five daily hours and cameras recorded everything the dancers did. The intention was to put the performers in an intersection between private and public, individual and group, reality and fiction. The lack of rules encouraged them to handle themselves in new social settings and to create their own framework.

In the Black Box Teater catalogue one could read the following about Muscle Temple by Goro Tronsmo:
"Tronsmo has made a work in which the process is the result and the result is the process. This line of thinking creates a scenic tension and new layers and stages of experience. A process Goro Tronsmo and her company invite the spectator to take part in.
In Muscle Temple contexts are broken down, ordinary perceptions are remade and rephrased. Tronsmo and her company work in a wide open process in which the divides between private persons and characters are no longer visible. Goro herself calls these stations ”non-fixate able spaces”, events shifting and creating confusion.
Muscle Temple is a reality show in which five performers spend large shares of their time together in front of cameras in Stockholm and Oslo. At the same time it is an art installation, improvised madness and a disrespectful cliché of something we usually call theatre."
