Salting the Tail
Salting the Tail by Namik Mackic. Salting the Tail plays out on two parallel levels: One is a movie essay circling around eight young actors and a director in pre-production. The other is created by a chain of onstage operations in which the actors’ work with plastic materials results in a transformative, suggesting landscape.

In Salting the Tail Namik Mackic explores, according to the webpage of Black Box Teater, "the opportunity to construct a culture through corporal and automated knowledge in a room clean of reference points. The body is an instrument achieving meaning through indifferent materials and motor reflexes freed of emotion. On the other side the body’s own ambivalence to the continuous search for constructing meaning, emptying the images as soon as they are created and negotiating its own surrender."
The project was supported by The Norwegian Culture Fund, The Audio Visual Fund and The Norwegian Composers’ Fund.
