In Det hendte i Taremareby* (It happened in the City of Taremare) by Krabatene the daughter of King Kveite (the name means Halibut), Flyndrefrøken Fin (literally: Miss Flounder-miss Nice) is kidnapped by the evil Krabbekrølle (literally: Crab-curl). Krabbekrølle has made a horrendous instrument called the violin of kelp. When he plays it, all who hear it are in his power. His aim is to take over the power in the Ocean Kingdom. The brave little fish Flyndrefanten (literally: The Flounder Tramp) goes to save the fish princess. Underway he meets many dangers, including the naughty assistants of Krabbekrølle, Ulke Rulke og Ulke Sulke (two scorpion fishes). But luckily many want to help Flyndrefanten in the battle against the evil Krabbekrølle.
