"This is a self-obsessed theatre project. It is about 'proving' that the theatre masters everything, that there is no limit to what theatre can do in this world. But indeed, our dear, little theatre, there are limits! And this limit has already been overstepped. (...) Mostly, Skagestad has striven to create lines for situations within the proceedings. But then Glahn becomes a narrator. That is fundamentally wrong. Helge Jordal goes in and out of the 'action' like a Brechtian storyteller. Thus, he is no longer part of imagining or depicting the situations. And thus, the whole poetic effect of the novel, the story, has let go of its possibilities. What remains is a lot of words and gestures supposed to look as much as possible as infatuation and jealousy."
