Norsk aften* (Norwegian evening)

Norsk aften* (Norwegian evening) (1941) was a poetry production by The National Stage, compiled of Norwegian poetry and songs. Gunnar Reiss-Andersen's poem Til Norges flag (literally: To Norway's flag), Henrik Ibsen's The Death of Mother Aase (from Peer Gynt) and Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson's lyrics for the Norwegian national anthem, Ja, vi elsker (literally: Yes, we love this country) read. The production was performed in Ole Bull Teatret.

Bjørn Bjørnson visited the theatre in this production. He was the one to read The Death of Mother Aases død and his father's lyrics for Ja, vi elsker.

*Not yet translated into the English. The title within parentheses is the Norwegian title's literal meaning.
