Johannessen probes boundaries on many levels in Klokka 3 om ettermiddagen: about how we belong together, or create distance between us – both on a macro- and micro level. With her unmistakable language of movement, beautiful costumes and consistent scenography, Johannessen directs our emotions, providing us with multiple layers of stories and associations. The spectator may well be provoked, moved or simply captivated.
A wall with several doors – where do they lead?
Do we yearn for the large room, or the small one in the back? Which of these is the way through?
What separates us? Doors, boundaries…
How can we meet – be together – can we be stitched together?
