Gullalðurir
A staged reading
About Gullalðurir (literally in Old Norwegian/Icelandic: The Golden Age) by Eirik Fauske: The past 40 000 years went too fast by. What really happened? The stage text Gullalðurir reflects a collective memory of sorts; the total human history compressed into small natural phenomena, references to the Genesis, description of the soup of beginning of time, pretended Icelandic and forced repetitions. It is as if all ages are collected in this very second and that they shine through in the most trivial of situations.
