Peer Gynt
Peer Gynt was a theatre production by Masthuggsteatern, produced in 2003 and based on the play by Henrik Ibsen. This is a Swedish version of the most Norwegian of plays.
Masthuggsteatern does not wrap the play in modern effects or overwhelming stage design. Ibsen's text and story is the central part.

Expressen:
"Martin Nilsson makes a powerful effort as Peer."
Bohusläningen:
"I regard Masthuggsteatern’s and the director Rolf Sossna’s deeply original staging with increasing respect (...) Peer meets all his classical outer as well as inner demons in a series of obnoxious and calm sequences, with Ibsen’s words kept as they are."
Göteborgs-Posten:
"The texts shimmers like a mountain brook (...) Martin Nilsson plays him as if he was illuminated from the inside."
