Cirque Macabre
"Cirque Macabre" by Dah Theatre. The frame around the macabre circus is an obscure Balkan in which the performers are defendants dancing a dark tango with the prosecutors. They are surrounded by anonymous soldiers marching without pause. An unstoppable circular dance around blood and desire.

The idea to the performance "Cirque Macabre" stems from an experience the director Dijana Milosevic had during the bombing of Belgrade in 1999. Dijana Milosevic had planned to take her niece to the theatre by noon. There was usually a break in the bombing during that time of day, but this day she was awaken by her niece telling her that the theatre was bombed to pieces.
