Simon's story is a play by the playwright and actor Stig Amdam. Han based the text in a classic situation to tell an ambiguous story using a modern expression:

In Simon's Story Simon (19) joins the army and is sent to Afghanistan as part of a Norwegian NATO force in Afghanistan. But when he gets back, he can't adjust. His reunion with his girlfriend is not as either had hoped for.

Simon no longer knows what he wants to do with his life. Suddenly one night he is arrested and put on a holding cell, accused of a terrible act. Simon denies it, but the investigator has reasons to doubt his explanation.

As in a crime drama – with intense interrogations and flashbacks – a scary story was revealed bit by bit.

Simon's story by Stig Amdam was previewed during the festival Twist 08, in collaboration between Det Åpne Teater (The Open Theatre), The Norwegian Touring Theatre and Nordic Black Theatre.

The production was nominated for The Hedda Award 2009 in the category of best production for children and youth.
