"In ≈ [Almost Equal To] Khemiri's sharp societal criticism and humour emphasise, in particular, our relationship to money, career and ambitions. Here, we meet a number of destinies, people who each in their way struggle with these exact themes. From the homeless Peter to Martina who works for the betting kiosk, Andrej who tries to create a business career, but works against his ethnicity, Mani who studies economy at the university, but then makes a mess out of his life. And then there is Freya who perhaps, just perhaps, pushed her younger and much more competent colleague under the bus.
In an intricate way all these destinies intertwine. Just like in life."
