In the BIT Teatergarasjen program for The Flux Position by Ingun Bjørnsgaard Prosjekt the following is written about the production:
"The very controversial feminist Camille Pagila's book Sexual Persona is the foundation for the prize-awarded Ingun Bjørnsgaard's new production - in which the terms flux, flow, chaos, androgyny and female nature are central. But even through Pagila is the basis, there is no longer such an emphasis on the woman in herself, more on the relationship between man and woman, group and individual.
Technically elements from classic and modern pas de deux and pas de trois are used. The techniques are tested by the dancers through showing helplessness. The force needed to perform work in a partnership is made visible. The strict expression and the apparent slackness, the breaks and the glance create moments of great visual power. The contrasts are underlined through the use of Bach violins, arranged for the production by composer Rolf Wallin, accompanying the modern dance.
The Flux Position has been performed several places as a kind of work-in-progress tour, including during Profiler '95 in Bergen."
The Flux Position of an Insulted Eye by Ingun Bjørnsgaard Prosjekt was supported by Arts Council Norway, Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The Fund for Performing Artists and The Audio Visual Fund.
