Jo Strømgren Kompani says the following about Polaroid:

"For centuries, this spot has been the regular meeting point during weekends for Inuits from the different Arctic corners sharing gossip and news. This is a well-kept secret that hasn't yet reached the rest of the world. But it is now time to reveal the truth as we join in on a weekend sing-along chill out."

Touring: Greenland, Norway, Denmark, The Faroe Islands, The Aaland Islands, Finland, Lithuania, Ireland, USA.

International touring with Inuit dance performances is extremely rare. In fact, it's practically non-existent.

Polaroid by Jo Strømgren Kompani would definitively not start a trend, but still it was somewhat - according to JSK - quite of an achievement for Greenlandic culture.

Her Majesty Queen Margrethe of Denmark said of Polaroid that it was "one of the most exciting theatre pieces I have seen in a very long time."

Polaroid by Jo Strømgren Kompani was supported by the Norwegian Ministry for Foreign Affairs/MFA (travel grant/performing arts).
