In the theatre production Fra ei kus dagbok* (From the diary of a cow) by Petra P, Frøydis the Cow neatly take notes from what happens throughout the day. Mostly, the events are limited to shovelling, milking, feeding and squabbling with the farmer Frida. But one day the cow embarks on a journey with her diary brought along. Frøydis experiences things other cows can just dream of. "Have you ever seen a cow start a war?" she asks in her speech to the UN. Have you ever heard about a cow singing in the concert hall of Oslo Spektrum or travelling to the moons? No? In Fra ei kus dagbok, nothing is impossible.
Frøydis is like most cows, but one day she embarks on a dream journey. She goes to town and she goes to the movies and she sleeps in a hotel. She is discovered by a pop band and sings in Oslo and Paris. She manages the masterpiece of making world peace. She enjoys the view from the moon and quickly visits Paradise - before she finds her way back to her stall.
Fra ei kus dagbok combines film projection with multi-coloured lightening and elements from old fashioned barn life, which make up the stage design.
