The Dead Forest
The Dead Forest (2011) is a dance production by Energi.Light.Momentum. (E.L.M.).
At the Facebook page of E.L.M. the following, among other things, is written about The Dead Forest:
"The Dead Forest is an area on the Bulabog- side of Boracay. It was formed when a dam that separated the sea water from the forest collapsed. The sea water plundered the mangroves and forced it into being a Dead Forest with immense fecundity for folklores and tales of ghosts. The locals of Boracay believe that on the moon bathe nights the forest comes alive with supernatural beings.
Some time ago three people from Norway went on vacation to Boracay. They came across the Dead Forest and since then no one has seen or heard from them. Some say they have been taken prisoners and are being used as a portal for the creatures of the forest to get closer to people, and are walking around on the island being mistaken for tourists.
Let us see if the Jungle Boys can play them out and make them dance!"
