"A three year old girl is driven over and killed in a driveway. This is to change the lives of an outwardly successful married couple; and they had even bought a BMW X5 because it was supposed to be the most secure car... The question is: The most secure for whom?
She (Ine Jansen) and He (Trond Espen Seim) live in an expensive, ecologically friendly house, they eat ecological meat and only ever mean well. When their first child was prematurely born the protection instinct awoke in them, and they do all they can to protect their eldest son and his sister from the brutal realities of life. The dead girl was the daughter of Ugandan refugees, who have experienced the evils of war. The dead girl's uncle, Thomas, gets to know the married couple, but he never hears the regret he wants. At the same time, the son of the family is a victim of bad friends- perhaps because he has never learned how to take care of himself. He does something he will never be allowed to forget..."
