Heidi Hoe No Longer Works Here
Heidi Hoe No Longer Works Here by Q-Teatteri (Finland). Heidi Hoe travels to Los Angeles to surf. To finance her sun filled lifestyle she finds a job at one of Avis' car rental offices. But here she finds that she no longer has the time to be in the sun. The whole thing ends with her working as a stripper in a nightclub.
Heidi Hoe No Longer Works Here is merciless satire about our over-commercialised world.

What happens when money talks and decides the human emotions? Technology takes advantage of people and one can barely differ between leisure and business time any longer. If it was possible to work 24 hours a day, would your home still be a nice place? And how do we survive in a world where you can do practically everything over the internet?
In Heidi Hoe No Longer Works Here children are put to bed assisted by e-mail and au pair. Some of the lines are written in CAPS LOCK and should be YELLED out loud. And the women we meet are desperate. VERY desperate.
Q-teatteri: in Finnish the letter "Q" is pronounced in the same way as the Finnish word for "moon", "kuu". Q-teatteri was founded in March 1990. The founder members are freelance actors. The aim of the group is to create new ways and conditions to make independent, original, and experimental theatre, and to develop different rehearsing methods. At the moment there are 56 members in the group/company, which could also be called a production unit. The members are actors, directors, costume designers, set designers, lighting designers, producers, playwrights, theatre technicians, photographers, and graphic designers, all working on a freelance basis. Q-teatteri has become one of the most significant theatre companies in Finland.
