About Irre

Irre was a production by Kreutzerkompani.

Kreutzerkompani worked with filtering live video, music and dance into an expression which was both clean and rich in detail. Irre is the second of three performances which were connected through emphasising orientation based on physical interaction with space.

More about Irre

Kreutzerkompani was founded in 2000 by choreographer Eva-Cecilie Richardsen and video artist HC Gilje. Kreutzerkompani created 17 productions in collaboration with dancers, musicians and visual artists. The performances were based on a continuous exploration of movements through video, audio and dance, filtering improvisation and structured material in a live setting.

In the performance Irre Kreutzerkompani continued its exploration of a more open form of performance, emphasising proportions and dimensions in space as well as in action, plus the possibilities to influence and occupy these.

The venue consisted of a space in the space. Three fields made up a triangle. The audience never got to see more than certain parts of the installation and the dance at the time, and they had to switch to different perspectives to experience the whole thing.

Irre by Kreutzerkompani was supported by Arts Council Norway and Kontainerkorporation.
