Trutor & Capitano by Stella Polaris used old jesters’ techniques from the Middle Ages’ commedia dell’arte in developing a clown performance playing with the great mysteries of life. The frame of the performance was a simplistic set design, two actors and a number of expression-full masks.
The audience was taken on a journey into the world of comedy, in which the clowns Trutor and Capitano were guides. Throughout the performance we met a whole village of colourful characters, driving the audience from one set of moods to another. This was a timeless comedy as appropriate for children and adults.
