Sweeney Todd
Sweeney Todd is a musical theatre production by The Norwegian Theatre, produced in 2015, and based on the musical by Hugh Wheeler and Stephen Sondheim.
Erik Ulfsby directs it.
Frank Kjosås interprets the title role, Charlotte Frogner the role of Mrs. Lovett, and Silya Nymoen a narrator role that is an invention of the production.

"The avenger as hero is a classical character, also in musicals, but he rarely goes as tangibly or barbarically to work as the blood-dripping barber Sweeney Todd.

With his companion Mrs. Lovett he opens a scary mix of barbershop and pie shop. Todd eventually becomes a respected barber, and nobody asks where his customers go - but, as it is phrased in the end song of Act One: We'll serve anyone. And the pies of Mrs. Lovett become endlessly popular..."
