"Freedom of expression is unproblematic as long as it is not clearly challenged. That is what Kim Atle Hansen does in his winning contribution to Writers' Guild of Norway's contest about reflections upon Article 100 in the Norwegian constitution, 'There shall be freedom of expression'. He has made a thought experiment, in which the events do not take place onstage, but are thoroughly spoken about and aired. In a trial questions about freedom of religion, artistic freedom and the tolerant multicultural society are turned upside down and rattled. The juridical, ethical and personal perceptions we imagine we have clear attitudes to are tested, so that we see how fragile the nuances of freedom of expression are."
