Virginia's Letter

Virginia's Letter (2010) is a theatre production by Trøndelag Theatre. The text was written by Kjersti Haugen, Mads Bones, Odd L. Haugen and the ensemble based on the letter eight year old Virginia O'Hanlon wrote the newspaper The New York Sun in 1897, and the reply Francis P. Church gave her, in form of an editorial, the next day.

Kjersti Haugen directed it.

Ingrid Bergstrøm acted in the role of Virginia.

Virginia O'Hanlon's letter went as follows:

"Dear Editor,
I am 8 years old. Some of my little friends say there is no Santa Claus. Papa says, 'If you see it in The Sun, it's so. Please tell me the truth, is there a Santa Claus?
Virginia O'Hanlon."
