Co-optimistenes kabaret-revy* (The co-optimists' cabaret revue)

Co-optimistenes kabaret-revy* (The co-optimists' cabaret revue) (1940) was a cabaret production by Trøndelag Theatre.

Henry Gleditsch directed it.

Co-optimistenes kabaret-revy was the first production by Trøndelag Theatre during the German occupation of Norway, which started April 9 1940. The title Co-optimistenes kabaret-revy covered two versions of the revue, one during the spring and one during the summer/autumn.

Ole Øisang writes the following about the revues: "The effort was daring, and the two cabaret revues - with, in part, topical and very patriotic numbers, and controversial material addressing "the masters" - contributed greatly to merrily stimulating the audiences during these first sombre months of occupation. But it is a likely assumption that the head of the theatre, Gleditsch, already had his first notes made in the protocols of NS and the Gestapo." (1962:58)
