The production Featured features Mr. Vojtěch Gajda (born 1945) - in civilian employment, a surveyor and prospector for Water Works Company, Mr. Jaroslav Synek (born 1950) - for many years employed in the cultural and educational sectors, and Mr. Martin Bergmann (born 1952) – an engineer, interpreter and musician. For this performance, all three of these men have, for the first time, employed their energies to dance theatre.
Choreographer Kristýna Lhotáková and director/ sounddesigner Ladislav Soukup focus on esthetics of documentary theatre. They work with non -dancers, „real people“ as inspiration, people who also personally appear on stage. Over the course of the years of working together and making theatre they have developed a specific dance/theatre esthetics, that thrives to catch what is essentially Czech… while staying authentic and different.
