In the festival catalogue the following was written about An Evening of Rape by Johnny Johnson by Kate Pendry:

"Kate Pendry’s interpretation of Marylin Monroe's last hours became an audience success during the performance festival of 2003. In 2004 she participates with the male counterpart to Monroe in the performance An Evening of Rape by Johnny Johnson. This is a cool, accommodating and heterosexual man who knows all about women and the war between sexes. Johnny Johnson is a totally ordinary man and he doesn't like feminists.

In this performance Pendry discusses the post-feminist conflict between men and women. Through creating a male character for herself the artist may talk about the unmentioned disparities in the relationship between the sexes. Despite the provocative title Pendry finds that the performance is no more controversial than an average Friday magazine attached to Dagbladet. The performance lasts for three hours and the audience may come and go as they please. Recommended age from 15 years on."
