At the website of The Arctic Theatre the following, among other things, is written about Martyr:

«15-year-old Benjamin has declared war. War against licentiousness. War against immorality. He provokes and manipulates, scares and fascinates the people surrounding him. In a play full of mordant comedy, and in the middle of the chaos of prohibitions, moral, scapegoats and absolute truths the question is raised: Who of us really are the martyrs in Benjamin's war?

Benjamin is a seemingly ordinary boy in an ordinary town anywhere in the country. He lives with Mother, who work night shifts, and Father has mostly been absent. He seeks to The Bible and lets himself be seduced by Old Testament thinking and ideas. Gradually he becomes obsessed by revenge, purity and licentiousness. How do adults meet a young person about the become radicalised, what is faith and what is fear, and how are children to find the way if parents' and teachers' tolerance becomes an excuse not to act responsibly?"
