Svorskuomi
Svorskuomi (2013) was a dance production by Vilde Sparre.
At the webpage of Vilde Sparre the following, among other things, is written about Svorskuomi:
"Swedish, Norwegian and Suomi (Finnish) have become Svorskuomi, a language the choreographers and dancers have created during the project. Inspired by Nordic nature and urban landscapes, light, climate, humour and history, the three dancers take a deep dive in a mix of national and Nordic identity - in clichés and prejudice.
What happens when three Northerners meet in a sauna? The temperature runs high and the room is small and claustrophobic. But when the Northerners move in the open space - in the Nordic nature - the communication between them changes."

At the webpage of Vilde Sparre the following, among other things, is written about Svorskuomi:
"NordCC is a Nordic choreographer group consisting of Arja Tiili from Finland, Vilde Sparre from Norway and Åsa N. Åström from Sweden. The production Svorskuomi is a result of the three choreographers' exploration of the question how closely several choreographers may work together; that is, to work forth a performance with one voice rather than three.
The theme of the production is identity, and the aim is to create a consciousness what it would say to be Nordic - Finnish, Norwegian or Swedish. The choreographers have considered differences between our countries and individual differences between the people from each of the countries. These differences vary a lot, but there are some characteristics that seem to be typically Finnish, Norwegian or Swedish, and these are perceived as national distinctions. These characteristics express clichés, to a large degree. In this very clichés we find contrasts and truths what the Finnish, Norwegian and Swedish are, but these may also create prejudice.
All of our lives most of us search for our identities. We have ideas about life, ourselves and others. These ideas may be more or less realistic. Prejudice may arise and fasten, but may also be broken.
The production is directed towards youth and adults, and will be performed as a school performance the autumn of 2013."
