Lillian Bikset, Lyspunktet Lystad (the title can mean The Spotlight of Lystad as well as The Good Thing about Lystad), Dagbladet, 07.07.2012:
"Petter Anthon Næss, who functions as a musical partner and a textual anchor may be who describes it the best: 'She talks like a wheel of fortune'. That's right. As a wheel of fortune the woman onstage is unpredictable and quick to change directions. One never knows exactly where she is to stop or in what direction she will next go off. Mitt liv som Elsa* (My Life as Elsa) is a show filled with digressions, ideas and sudden switches. But even more than a wheel of fortune, Elsa Lystad is a bringer of good fortune. (...) Generosity is the most important keyword. Generosity towards those she talks about, generosity towards those she talks to. That she also is the owner of an ironic intellect definitely doesn't puncture this generosity, it underlines it."
