"The aim of this illustrated theatre wandering is good. But except for some sarcastic remarks about The National Theatre’s bourgeois – and limited? – audience, and some snarky comments about former, and present, artistic directors, National Spesial* (National Special) was disappointingly well-mannered and uncontroversial. Wandering behind the stage sets, seeing the theatre venue from the inside, is exciting in itself. But it doesn’t suffice for an hour and a half."
